Player Participation Notes:

  • Players must play in the WR Spring Regular Season for consideration to the All Star Program
  • For all All Star and Travel baseball events (Spring, Summer and Fall) an effort should and will be made to avoid conflicts if possible. Should a conflict arise, West Raleigh League practices and games take precedence over All Star practices and events
  • If committed to play on a West Raleigh All Star Team, play on another (i.e., non-WR) travel or all star team is strictly prohibited. Players knowingly playing on another (non-WR) travel team will be subject to dismissal from the West Raleigh All Star Program. Should Coaches be aware that players on their team are playing for a non-WR travel team, they should communicate this knowledge with the All Star Commissioner(s)
  • Participation in a Scholastic Sport (e.g., Middle School) is allowed.
  • Previous participation on a West Raleigh All Star team does not guarantee future placement

Additional Notes

  • Extreme concern must be given to player safety and arm care. To allow each team (9U – 12U) to form earlier, we must not sacrifice the safety and well-being of our players
  • Pitch Count should be documented for each game and event, and communicated to the regular season coach(es)
  • Communication between Coaches (e.g., Blue & Red; All Star and Regular Season) will be vitally important to ensure the process goes smoothly and is a good experience for all players and families
  • Uniform designs and color schemes must be consistent between teams (Blue, Red and White) and across age groups (7U – 12U)
  • Players on each group (Blue and Red) will choose unique jersey numbers to allow for play across each team throughout the Spring
