West Raleigh Donation Drive for Western North Carolina Relief
West Raleigh Families,
As you all know by now, Tropical Storm Helene decimated western North Carolina. The community support has been overwhelming to date, but those affected are going to need help for a long time. The stories and other reports coming from that area continue to be horrific. This is especially true in communities that are off the beaten path and where the true measure of the devastation is underreported.
In an effort to help our western North Carolina neighbors, the WR Squirrels are sponsoring a donation drive on Saturday, October 19th. They’ll have a truck in the West Raleigh Exchange Club lot that day, and they need your help in filling the truck. The truck will be driven to a donation center in Haywood County on October 20th. The needs in that area have changed during the last two weeks, and below is a list of requested donation items. Thank you for your consideration and we hope you’ll consider supporting these efforts!
