Coach Selection:

  • All Star Coaches will be submitted by the Executive Director for Board approval, with consideration to previous year(s) evaluations (both AS and rec) and recommendations from the Spring Commissioners.
  • All Head All Star Coaches must be a Head or Assistant Coach in the corresponding League in the Spring.
  • Blue and Red  (7 - 12U) All Star Coaches will be reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors.

Player Participation Notes:

  • Players must play in the WR Spring Regular Season for consideration to the All Star Program.
  • All evaluations will be done by the Spring League Head Coaches. Coaches will be evaluating practices and games for any player interested to be in consideration for a WR All Star team.
  • The coaches will put forth the best teams to represent West Raleigh at the All Star level.
  • Participation by a player with any other organized baseball program or team during the All-Star baseball season is restricted. Players found to play for other programs or teams during the All Star season will be dismissed from the West Raleigh All Star program.
  • Participation in a Scholastic Sport (e.g., Middle School) is allowed.
  • Previous participation on a West Raleigh All Star team does not guarantee future placement.

Additional Notes

  • Extreme concern must be given to player safety and arm care. To allow each team (9U – 12U) to form earlier, we must not sacrifice the safety and well-being of our players.
  • Communication between Coaches (e.g., Blue & Red; All Star and Regular Season) will be vitally important to ensure the process goes smoothly and is a good experience for all players and families.
  • Uniform designs and color schemes must be consistent between teams (Blue, Red and White) and across age groups (7U – 12U).
  • Adding Guest Players for a West Raleigh All Star team is at the discretion of the Executive Director, given the circumstances that West Raleigh can't provide.
