A New Pathway for WR Players

West Raleigh is proud to introduce the West Raleigh Capitals — a new pilot travel baseball program designed to give our players a pathway for “what’s next” after their time in WR.

Why the Capitals?

At West Raleigh, our mission has always been to provide a highly competitive league for ages 4–12 in a safe, family-friendly atmosphere that promotes sportsmanship and community.

The Capitals program will:

  • Offer travel baseball opportunities while keeping players connected to WR
  • Maintain strong local competition
  • Give players who have aged out of league play a chance to continue at WR
  • Build a bridge toward high school baseball

Looking Ahead

The Capitals program will launch with 12U teams in 2026, with plans to continue at younger and older age groups in future seasons.

This creates a natural bridge for players to remain part of the WR family beyond the traditional 4–12 league ages, while preparing them for high school baseball.

Next Steps for Families

  • 13U families will be updated on rosters and schedules following the tryouts for the season.
  • 12U families will have to register for Spring season (required for eligibility).
  • Stay tuned for more details on fees, schedules, and team formation.
