Tryout Schedule
Fall Tryout Date: August 8th, 2024 6:00pm to 8:00pm at South Wake Sports Academy
(Note: players must attend one date only)
- Previous participation with West Raleigh Baseball is not required.
- $20 tryout fee
Program Information
Dates:
- FALL: Mid-August, 2024 - October, 2024
- SPRING: Mid-February 2024 - May 2024
- SUMMER: June 2024 - July 2024
Teams
- One to Two (1-2) 14u
- One to Two (1-2) 13u
- Teams are made up by graduating year for high school.
Program Includes:
- Coaching and baseball instruction at all practices and tournaments (general schedule listed below)
- Practice locations are at the National Training Complex, Middle Creek Park, and surrounding Raleigh Area Parks.
- Participation in 4-5 tournaments in Fall and 5-6 tournaments in Spring/Summer (tournament schedule TBD).
- Previous tournament participation has included Perfect Game, IMPACT, Dynamic, Triple Crown and Top Gun.
Currently the Head Coaching Staff consists of:
- Tom Tillottson (Assistant Coach - Pro 5)
- Scott McKeon (Previously played in Chicago Cubs organization)

Mid-February
- Two (2) Practices (1x per week)

- Eight (8) Practices (2x per week)
- 2 or 3 Tournament Events
July
- Eight (8) Practices (2x per week)
- 2 or 3 Tournament Events
Fall Season
August
- Four (4) Practices (2x per week the last two weeks of August)
September
- Eight (8) Practices (2x per week)
- 2 Tournament Events
October
- Eight (8) Practices (2x per week)
- 2 Tournament Events
November
- Two (2) Practices (2x per week)
- 1 Tournament Event

The Program Fee includes:
- Coaching and Baseball Instruction
- Practice Field Rentals
- Tournament Fees
- Insurance Fees
- Canes Franchise Fee
- Practice Equipment and Gear
**Program Fees are separated by season. Playing in the Fall does not guarantee a spot in the Spring/Summer Season.
